USofAmade.com is a labor of love. The United States has given so much to so many, but now she is in need. We owe it to America to buy American products, which in turn creates USA jobs. Look for Made in the USA on the label.
Our tiny staff has spent months assembling lists, reading websites and making calls, so that you wouldn’t have to. We want to be the directory you turn when looking for American products.
This website is a work in progress and always will be. We expect to be adding US businesses all the time, while adding new categories, sub-categories and products.
Find the right product category, look through the companies that produce it and then click or call.
We have put in a lot of effort, just to discern first of all what Made in the USA really means. For instance there are NO KNOWN electronic products, automobiles etc. that are made with 100% U.S. produced components. Our more complex products all contain foreign hardware, electronics, plastics, wood or metals and that is now just a fact of life in America.
If that is the case, why did we bother? That answer is employment. Our government in Washington isn’t thinking enough about USA jobs. At USofAmade.com it is all we think about. We hope that we have given you a great resource that you will refer to often. We have decided, unlike other such directories, to keep it simple.
We have allotted one line per company, under category headings that are the names of American products types and some sub-categories of those.
We don't alphabetize, embolden or color the listed companies' names, to help one company to stand out from the crowd and we limit the company list to a comfortable number, usually around 20 or less.
We make no qualitative judgments, but include the web addresses so that you can make an informed decision. Whether these are hot links or not is up to the listed company.
The decision to buy made in the USA or not is yours alone. Exercise caution in all business dealings. By all means, look for good deals, but help us to keep USA jobs available, earning a just wage and supporting other Americans, by buying American products from companies listed on USofAmade.com.
